The internationally research oriented University of Western Macedonia is a socially committed institution with 21 Departments, Postgraduate Programs and PHD Programs. It employs highly qualified academic staff, international links in both research and exchange programs and a vibrant student community. Novel practices deliver academic and administrative decentralization enhancing the sense of unity within the academic community. UOWM invests in innovative educational programs and multidisciplinary fields of research that correspond to the needs of the modern world. Till now, UOWM has managed more than 150 projects, while coordinating many H2020, international and national projects.

Sidroco Holdings Ltd is a creative SME focusing on Research, Development and Inspiration. SID designs, develops and implements novel and innovative products, frameworks and tools. Together with these innovative solutions, SID also supports techo-economic analysis, business models and advanced market analysis using brand reputation tools. SID is able to support a variety of research solutions and integrated products in multiple domains such as network and system security, modelling and simulation, optimization, visualization, machine learning solutions, risk analysis and assessment, market analysis and business modelling. SID has also the capacity of undertaking integration tasks and objectives in software components and systems architectural bricks.

Public Power Corporation S.A. is the leading energy producer and retailer company in Greece with a total capacity of 12.2 GW and approximately 6.9 million customers across the country. PPC’s research activities lay in material technology, chemical engineering, smart grids, cybersecurity, unmanned air vehicles, the Internet of Things, next-generation networks, and socioeconomics.

IT Economic Systems
EconSyS is a newly created Spinoff of the Democritus University of Thrace (Greece). The company’s expertise is the result of the active involvement of its two shareholders, Prof. Ioannis Pragidis and Prof. Dionisios Chionis, in Horizon 2020 projects from 2016 until today. EconSyS is based in the town of Komotini, in the Northern part of Greece and its primarily objective is to develop applications and analytical tools that are based on behavioural economics and finance. Currently, EconSyS provides data analytics for a major Electricity provider and a natural gas DSO in Greece. The company has also participated in projects for estimating the economic impact of investment decisions at a regional level using advanced econometric methods.
